So who else is like me. Whenever I get dressed up nicely, put on makeup to go somewhere special I ALWAYS take pictures before I leave the house.

When my friends have gone out I ask if they took pictures they tell me they didn't have time or they were running late.  Just recently, my coworker shared that she went out over the weekend for "Girls Night Out" and they were all dressed up and cute. A stranger offered to take their photos and they all came out super blurry.  Yikes! I know this has happened to you too because it surely has happened to me! It sucks and is definitely my confirmation for me sharing these tips with you.

With these tips and my 2 favorite apps, you too can take your images quickly (less than one minute) and easily on your cell phone!  Of course, if you're celebrating an extra special occasion or you don't even want to deal with any hassle you can always book a session with me to get real deal professional images. *wink (see the book tab above on my website header)

18 great tips for a smooth photo session!

1. Choose your favorite location that you’re familiar with and enjoy. 
2. Schedule your session during a time of day that works best for you. 
3. Bring a few props that you think will add to the photos and tell your story.  
4. Take a few moments to relax before the session begins. 
5. Have a positive attitude and enjoy the moment. 
6. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and give feedback to your photographer during the shoot. 
7. Bring a friend along to help you relax and have fun. 
8. Be sure to try on all outfits with accessories days before the session to be sure no adjustments need to be made.
9. During your outfit change: stretch, sip on water, and take a few deep breaths. 
10. Trust your photographer by not being afraid to try new poses or experiment with different angles. 
11. Have fun with the session and don’t take it too seriously. 
12. Tell the photographer about any special requests or must have shots you may have. 
13. Take your time and don’t rush through the session. 
14. Have your makeup and hair done prior to the session. 
15. Wear clothing that will make you feel comfortable and confident. 
16. Make a list of poses you would like to try and share them with your photographer ahead of time. 
17. Share with your photographer (or bring) a playlist of your favorite songs to listen to during the session. I always have a portable speaker
18. Review a few shots with your photographer if they haven’t shown you anything from the back of their camera yet.

Remember after every photo session I deliver sneak peeks within 48 hours of your session and of course, during your session I let you a preview a few shots just to show you how much you’re killing it!
